Who we are: Match the Cash Limited trading as Guarantormyloan will be what's known as the 'Controller' of the personal data you provide us. Match the Cash Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) number 718844. Our registered address is Acre House, 11/15 William Road, London NW1 3ER. What we do: We provide a platform via the website for lending and borrowing transactions conducted between our customers. We provide Guarantor Loans. A Guarantor Loan is a loan that is supported by a guarantor who can be a friend or a family member, who will make payments if the borrower cannot. We are also an authorised credit broker. We work with other lenders and brokers, offering a selection of loan types.

This policy sets out how we will use the information you provide us with and how we will protect that information, whether you are a lender, borrower or guarantor. We will, when delivering our services, collect and use personal information only which is relevant to the work we are undertaking, and which will be controlled, stored and processed in accordance with the Data Protection Legislation however it is collected, recorded or used. How do we use your personal information?
We may process your personal information for our legitimate business interests. E.g. fraud prevention, network and information system security, data analytics, enhancing, modifying or improving our services. These may include some or all of the following:
- To verify your identity;
- To identify and prevent fraud;
- Activate credit searches with credit reference agencies;
- To enhance the security of our network and information systems;
- Monitor and record communications (including phone conversations and emails) for quality assurance and compliance;
- To better understand how people interact with our systems;
- To better understand how people interact with our websites;
- Inform your broker about the progress of the application;
- Administer your loan and manage your account;
- If you do not repay money that has been borrowed, we may trace your whereabouts and recover debts or enforce a loan agreement;
- Where processing enables us to enhance, modify, personalise or to otherwise improve our service / communications for the benefit of our customers;
- To determine the effectiveness of promotional campaigns and advertising.
Whenever we process data for these purposes we will ensure that we always keep your Personal Data Rights in high regard and take account of these rights (What are my rights?). What we need
We only collect basic personal data about you. This may include all or some of the following:
- Information provided in your application form;
- Name, Address, Postcode;
- Employment type (if applicable);
- National insurance number;
- Income;
- Date of birth;
- Documentation to verify your identity and income;
- Bank and debit card details;
- Contact details including telephone number and email address;
- Previous address history;
- Technical information, including the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet, your login information, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform;
- Information about your visit, including the full Uniform Resource Locators (URL), clickstream to, through and from this Website (including date and time), page response times, download errors, and length of visits to certain pages;
- The performance of your loan (if you become a borrower/guarantor);
- Any other information that we require to process your application.
How long we keep it
If you become a borrower or guarantor we will keep your data for a minimum period of 6 years after your loan term has expired. If you do not become a borrower or guarantor we will not keep your data longer than is necessary. We have processes in place to ensure your data is removed from our systems in a timely manner in line with our data retention policy.
Why we need your data
The personal information we obtain, process and store is necessary to enable us to:
- Assess an application for a loan;
- Contact you during the term of the loan;
- Undertake automated decision making which may be used in the form of credit checks; however, decisions for lending are based on affordability and creditworthiness;
- Hold contact details including telephone numbers to contact you as part of the application or for the duration of the loan;
- Hold debit card details, either as part of the loan application or subsequently which we will store and may use to take future payments (only retaining the last four digits of your debit card numbers on the Platform);
- Store and use sensitive information, which may be given whilst administering your account, such as medical information, to help us to continue to manage your account;
- Use your information to contact you, if you have opted into receiving further advance mailings. You can opt out of receiving marketing information at any time by emailing us at: customerservices@guarantormyloan.co.uk;
- Monitor and support staff training by recording telephone conversations that we have with you
Who we share your data with
Credit Reference agencies / Fraud Prevention agencies
In order to process your application, we will perform credit and identity checks on you with one or more credit reference agencies ('CRAs'). To do this, we will supply your personal information to CRAs and they will give us information about you. This will include information from your credit application and about your financial situation and financial history. CRAs will supply to us both public (including the electoral register) and shared credit, financial situation and financial history information and fraud prevention information. We will use this information to:
- Assess your creditworthiness and whether you can afford to take the product;
- Verify the accuracy of the data you have provided to us;
- Prevent criminal activity, fraud and money laundering;
- Manage your account(s);
- Trace and recover debts; and
- Ensure any offers provided to you are appropriate to your circumstances.
We will continue to exchange information about you with CRAs while you have a relationship with us. We will also inform the CRAs about your settled accounts. If you borrow and do not repay in full and on time, CRAs will record the outstanding debt. This information may be supplied to other organisations by CRAs.

Borrower/Guarantor
We will use the contact information provided during the application process to contact the borrower and/or the guarantor to discuss the loan application. We may share your information with security trustees, tracing agents and other legal representatives to enforce the terms of any loan agreement or guarantee and indemnity agreement.
Information sharing with borrower/guarantor
If you enter into a loan agreement with us, or agree to be a guarantor, you consent to us sharing information about the conduct of the account with the borrower and/or guarantor. We will contact the guarantor where the borrower fails to make any payment on the loan, the loan falls into default or for any other reason we feel necessary.
Fraud Prevention Agencies
Borrower/Guarantor: If you provide false or inaccurate information and we identify fraud, details will be passed to fraud prevention agencies. Law enforcement agencies may access and use this information. We and other organisations may also access and use this information to prevent fraud and money laundering.
What are your rights?
Accuracy of your data
If at any point you believe the information we process on you is incorrect, you can request to see this information, and have it corrected or deleted. Please contact us via email or by writing.
Raising a complaint
If you wish to raise a complaint on how we have handled your personal data, you can contact us at DPA@guarantormyloan.co.uk and we will investigate the matter.
If you are not satisfied with our response or believe we are processing your personal data not in accordance with the law, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Security of your data
Match the Cash is committed to protecting your privacy by ensuring that your personal information is held securely.
All personal data we collect is processed by our employees in the UK however for the purposes of IT hosting and maintenance of this, information is located on servers within the EU. No 3rd parties have access to your personal data unless the law allows them to do so. We have a Data Protection regime in place to oversee the effective and secure processing of your personal data.
If you contact us by telephone our staff will ask you a series of security questions before your personal details are discussed.
We may record telephone calls for security and training purposes.
Access to information
You have the right to access information held about you. If you would like access to the information that we hold about you, you can contact us via email or by writing. We will respond to your request within one month of receipt of such request.
Erasure of information
You may request the deletion or removal of personal data where there is no reason for its continued processing in specific circumstances.
